Welcome to the Canterbury Hockey Association (CHA) Web site Last updated February 1, 2012 The Canterbury Hockey Association (CHA) has been involved in the community of Ottawa southeast for over 30 years. We are a voluntary non-profit association created to provide the children of our community with the opportunity to learn the principles of fair play, to improve hockey skills, to promote sportsmanship and community spirit in every player with due respect to safety. It seeks to promote and increase interest in amateur hockey by ensuring that all organized minor hockey is conducted under the guidance of the governing bodies in accordance with the prescribed standards. The CHA is therefore an integral part of the District B (Bytown District), of the Ottawa & District Minor Hockey Association (ODMHA) – and the Ottawa District Hockey Association (ODHA) and by virtue of this affiliation is a member of the Hockey Canada, the governing body of amateur hockey in Canada. The CHA offers house league hockey for over 500 players living within the Canterbury boundaries of South Ottawa within District B. Players within Canterbury boundaries can play competitive hockey with the 3 year trial formed (seasons starting 2007, 2008 & 2009) competitive Ottawa Sting Minor Hockey Association.
